Dr. Leemputte is double board eligible in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Originally from the Chicago area, she went on to further her education and training at the most prestigious institutions in the country including Princeton, Georgetown, Northwestern, and Harvard. Dr. Leemputte brings her wealth of education and clinical experience to serve the community as a pain specialist with Gateway Spine & Pain Physicians.
Dr. Leemputte's mission is to support her patients through their chronic pain journey. She believes every patient deserves excellence. This includes compassionate listening, superior technical skills and the ability to offer novel techniques when appropriate for her patients. She aims for successful outcomes not only in pain relief but in return to those daily activities necessary for a fulfilling life.
Dr. Leemputte has contributed to numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters related to pain management. She believes that proactive engagement in academic discussion plays an important role in attaining the best outcomes for patients. She has received recognition for work in both anesthesiology and pain management, which includes nomination to the AOA honor society and quality improvement awards.
Dr. Leemputte enjoys living an active lifestyle. She is a former top ranked Division I athlete with the Princeton Varsity Crew Team. She carries on this pursuit of excellence in her career as a pain specialist serving the needs of those suffering in pain.
